Wow. I really hope
everyone had their tissues for that one. That was quite the tear jerker,
especially for Callie. Why was she the one crying the most out of everyone? She
didn’t even know Frank that well. That Jesus/Emma/Lexi call was awkward, and
that music they played when she left was even more awkward.
Those Jude/Callie flashbacks were really something, though. I love that we got
to see those. I’m happy Brandon and Callie confronted their issues, and I’m
beyond ecstatic and excited that Callie is going to come home.
So let’s mix it up
and not start with the big event of the week, shall we? Let’s talk about Jesus
and Emma, and more importantly, Jesus, Emma and Lexi. Lexi totally thought
Emma was going to be ugly. Pretty girls don’t wrestle, right? Wrong. She’s
definitely going to show up in the next few episodes to haunt Jesus about her. Also, could we not have found a poor chair for
the girl? She was kneeling on the floor, for God’s sake. I want to say she
could have sat in the chair, but that would have made answering the video call
more awkward if she was directly in front of the camera and Jesus was nowhere
to be seen instead of the other way around. They were super cute tonight
though, and I know Mariana is going to report to Lexi about the goings-on between them. She’s definitely suspicious too. Who wouldn’t be? Lexi is all the
way in Honduras, never to return unless she can get into an American school and
get a visa so she can enter the country legally. Emma’s a nice girl, a pretty
girl, a sweet girl. She’s
girly enough to maintain herself properly, but she keeps Jesus in check and
teases him adequately. I was on the fence before the doorstep scene
tonight, but I know now that she likes him, like, a lot. The awkward Jesus
music proved it. I hope that one works itself out. As much as he probably wants
to, he can’t wait for Lexi forever.
So that beginning was
intensely confusing, because for a second, I thought Frank was alive and
everything was good, and that someone else had died. Then I remembered no one
else had died, and I was back to being confused. Until it randomly started
snowing; then I knew it was a dream or something. That reception was definitely
unique, starring the almost-convicted cop, the almost-pregnant lesbian, and the
almost-adopted Jude. No one is really definitive in who they are right now. HE
CALLED HER MOM. I swear, the first time I watched that clip on Facebook, I
nearly cried. Then I watched a bunch of other times, and then tonight and I
almost cried all of those times too. It was so cute. I love him for taking that
step. Now he has to call Stef mom, because he still calls her Stef.
Then we have Connor
and the stupid Ouija board. I know he moved it to YES, and I know that was the
right thing to do, but I have a really weird paranoia where Jude is going to do
it again right before they sign the papers or something and it’s gonna move to
NO and then he’s gonna freak and back out. Like, I’m freaking about this thing
that probably isn’t even going to happen and I have no idea why.
That chat that Lena
and her mom had where she finally told her how she felt about her constant
“candor” was great. So was the chat between Callie and Stef after she lost the
necklace. My heart melted.

It also melted when Callie and Mariana had their
little scene in the kitchen with the deviled eggs. I missed their sisterly
bonding times.
Mariana's logic makes no sense.

It seems like that was the first time Callie smiled in a long
time, and that makes me happy. She deserves to have happiness again after all
the stuff she put herself through. You could tell Stef and
Lena were being really cautious with her, and I can’t really word why I think
that properly. I think it was probably because they didn’t know if she wanted
to be there, but she obviously did. I don’t know how to say it, and I know
that’s because I’m not sure myself why they were behaving that way.
Brandon and Callie’s
relationship development was great in that episode. I love that he realized the
relationship they had was only going to work if Callie gave up everything she
cared about. I love that she didn’t lose that necklace and that both of them
realized this truly wasn’t going to work, whether she got adopted or not.
Although she is now, or I assume so. That is what “coming home” means, right?
Those Jude/Callie
flashbacks were amazing. I loved that we got to learn something about them,
considering we know a lot about everyone else but not them. They amazed me, but
my favorite one (or two) was when she walked in on Jude standing in her ruined
room, and then when she realized at the end that she was actually the one who
smashed it. She must have blocked that out and replaced it with something else,
and then when Jude told Callie it was her and not him who smashed it, it
unlocked or something. Those were cool to see.
What do you think is
going to happen next week? Do you think Mariana is going to something she
shouldn’t with Chase so he’ll stop paying attention to Kelsey and start paying
attention to her? Do you think that Jesus and Emma are going to kiss? I think
Brandon tells Talya that he and Callie were dating, and that he loves her. That’ll
be fun. Maybe she’ll revert back to b*tch Talya.
